Air Fryer Cheesy Chicken Meatballs

Air Fryer Cheesy Chicken Meatballs

Meatballs prepared with chicken that have been cooked in an air fryer are tasty, soft, juicy, and cheesy. In addition to being flavourful and freezer-friendly, they are ideal for serving as an appetiser, incorporating into a meatball sandwich, or combining with pasta.

When compared to preparing meatballs on the stove or in the oven, frying them in an air fryer results in delicious meatballs that are soft and juicy. Because there is no oil splattering from the pan, cleaning up is a simple process.

This is an excellent dish for those who are just starting out in the world of air fryer cuisine, since it is a whole chicken that is cooked in the air fryer. Not only is it a simple process, but the balls wind up being absolutely delicate, juicy, and delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or any other melting cheese
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil optional
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ¾ teaspoon salt or as needed
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

METHOD:

  1. Put all of the ingredients into a big bowl and mix them together until they are completely incorporated. After dividing the meat into 20 to 22 sections, carefully form each component into a ball (a measurement of about 3 tablespoons is used for each meatball).
  2. For nine minutes, preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Depending on the size of the meatballs, put the formed meatballs in the basket and cook them for seven to nine minutes, or until they are completely cooked through. In the meanwhile, be sure to space them out evenly. When ready to serve, let it rest for two to three minutes.

Notes;

Cheese: There are many wonderful alternatives available, including shredded mozzarella, cheddar, Monterey jack, pepper jack, and Mexican mix cheese.
Attempt to avoid over-mixing the ingredients since doing so often results in meatballs that are rough. When we are combining the components, we like doing it with our hands.
When utilising leaner cuts of meat, adding olive oil in the preparation process provides more moisture, which results in the meat being more juicy and soft.

They may be made large or little. Ensure that the period of time spent cooking is adjusted appropriately.
The Instant Vortex 6 quart air fryer was used, and we were able to cook one pound of beef mixture in a single batch.
