Air Fryer Mini Croissants with Nutella and Jam
When you have the ability to make your own croissants at home using puff pastry, there is no need to rush out to the bakery to purchase them. Extremely simple to put together. If you want to add some variety to the dish, you can use whatever kind of jam or preserves you like. (Jelly Ingredients are not anything I would endorse.
ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry that has been frozen and then thawed
- a single huge egg
- Water, one tablespoon each
- Eight teaspoons of chocolate-hazelnut spread (like
- Nutella®) would be sufficient.
- Strawberry jam, four teaspoons’ worth
- Sugar with cinnamon, one teaspoon, or more, as required

- Preheat the air fryer to a temperature of 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius).
- On a surface that has been lightly dusted with flour, roll out puff pastry into a large square that is approximately 12 inches in size. Using a diagonal cut, divide each square into four equal squares, and then cut each square in half to create eight triangles.
- Make sure that the point of the triangle is facing away from you and that the wide end of the triangle is facing you. Make sure that the edges of each triangle are wet by dipping the tip of your finger into some water. An egg and a tablespoon of water should be whisked together in a small bowl, and then be placed aside.
- Place approximately one teaspoon of Nutella in the middle, and then spread approximately half a teaspoon of strawberry jam on top. To prevent the filling from oozing out, begin at the broad end and roll the dough over the filling towards the point. Pinch the dough to keep it from escaping, then form the ends into a crescent shape. Using an egg wash, brush each crescent with it, and then sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar.
- To prepare the basket of your air fryer, either line it with parchment paper or spray it with cooking spray. Ensure that the croissants are not touching each other by placing them in the basket of your air fryer with the seam side down.
- In an air fryer, cook for 11 to 14 minutes, or until the food reaches a golden brown colour. The amount of time it takes to cook may change based on the size and brand of the air fryer you use.
- Place on a wire rack and allow to cool for a period of five minutes. Serve when still heated.
