AIR FRYER PIEROGIES
Perogies made in an air fryer are without a doubt one of the recipes that we are asked to prepare the most frequently. Potatoes and cheese are the ingredients that go into the creation of these pillow-like delights, which may be consumed as a tasty snack, side dish, or meal on their own.
WHAT EXACTLY ARE A PIEROGY?
- The European dumpling known as pierogi is a small pillow-shaped dumpling that can be filled with either a sweet or a savory filling before being subjected to cooking. I couldn’t contain my excitement when I discovered these delicious dumplings in the frozen food section of my neighborhood grocery store. I couldn’t wait to give them a go in the air fryer.
- It was only potatoes and cheese that were included in the pierogis that I discovered, but that was more than enough flavour. Although they are sold frozen, they are also available stuffed with a variety of additional ingredients, including meat, cheddar, sauerkraut, and onion, to mention a few. When I use the air fryer, the Kasia brand crisps up so wonderfully that I can’t get enough of it.
INGREDIENTS
- frozen pierogi weighing 14 ounces
- tablespoon of olive oil
- Sour cream, caramelized onions, mushrooms, or the dipping sauce of your choice are alternatives that can be added.
Details to follow
- Place each piece to the side in the basket of the air fryer in an even manner. While they are being air-fried, you should make an effort to prevent them from overlapping or stacking so that they can cook more evenly.
- Make sure that both sides of each piece are coated by using cooking oil spray, brushing olive oil, or tossing the ingredients.
- After being lightly coated with olive oil, they should be cooked at a temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit for ten to twelve minutes, or until they have a golden and crispy texture. In the middle of the cooking process, flip them over.
- While still heated, serve with sour cream, onions, mushrooms, or any other toppings that you enjoy the most.
