You may have this as a side dish with almost any meal. These will be enticing to eat straight out of the basket! They are just amazing. Even though they only require two steps to prepare, they are definitely worth the extra effort.
Components
- Yukon Gold potatoes, one pound roughly four little potatoes
- Two tablespoons of melted vegan butter, or, if preferred, margarine substituted for cooking oil,
- OR vegetable broth in place of oil
- three minced and peeled garlic cloves
- One tsp of dehydrated parsley
- One-half teaspoon sea salt, or to taste;
- one-half teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
Guidelines
- Since you’ll be eating the skins, give your potatoes a thorough scrub. After that, put them in a pot and add enough water to cover the potatoes by one inch. When it comes to a boil, add a teaspoon of salt. Simmer for about 18 minutes, or until a fork pierces the potatoes but they are still whole. If you overcook them, they will shatter when you try to smash them.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepot, if using, while the potatoes are cooking. After that, stir in the spices and minced garlic, then leave away.
- After draining, place the potatoes on a cutting board and let cool for a few minutes, or until they are manageable. Gently mash the potatoes with a big fork or potato masher until they are about half an inch thick. (Be careful—don’t bash them too hard or they might break.)
- After applying the seasoned butter mixture on both sides of the potato, place it in your basket, making sure there is plenty of room between each one. For 8 to 12 minutes, or until the desired crispiness is achieved, air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
