BROWNIE COOKIES
Ingredients:
- 115 grams of semisweet chocolate (dark chocolate is also an option);
- 2 butter spoons
- • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence;
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar;
- 1 egg;
- 1/2 cup wheat flour;
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- • One-fourth tsp baking soda
- • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional);
- • 1/4 teaspoon salt;
- • chopped walnuts (optional).
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and place parchment paper on a baking pan.
- 2. Melt the butter and semisweet chocolate in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl over low heat. Blend until a smooth consistency is achieved. Allow to cool a little.
- 3. Thoroughly combine the butter and chocolate mixture with the granulated sugar.
- 4. Stir the mixture thoroughly after adding the egg and vanilla essence.
- 5. Combine the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in an other basin. When you have a smooth dough, add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir.
- 6. You can gently stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts if you’d like.
- 7. Transfer dough mounds to the baking sheet, allowing adequate space between each cookie, using an ice cream scoop or two spoons.
- 8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cookies are somewhat soft in the center but hard around the edges, in a preheated oven.
- 9. After baking, take the cookies out of the oven and allow them to cool on the tray for a short while before moving them to a wire rack to finish cooling.
