Crumble-Topped Cheesecake
Components:
To make the crust:
- 1/2 cup of crumbs from graham crackers
- 1/4 cup of sugar, granulated Melted
- half a cup unsalted butter
for the cheesecake filling
- Three packages of softened cream cheese (8 oz each)
- 1 cup of sugar, granulated
- One cup of sour cream
- One tsp vanilla essence
- Four big eggs
Regarding the Crumble Topper:
- One cup of flour for all purposes
- 1/2 cup of sugar, granulated
- Half a cup of chilled, diced unsalted butter
- Half a teaspoon of powdered cinnamon, optional
Guidelines:
- Get the crust ready: Set the oven’s temperature to 175°C/350°F. Combine the sugar, melted butter, and graham cracker crumbs in a medium-sized basin and mix thoroughly.
- Line the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan with the mixture.
- After 10 minutes of baking, take the crust out of the oven and allow it to cool.
- Get the cheesecake filling ready.
- Cream cheese and sugar should be combined and beaten until smooth and creamy in a big basin.
- Mix in the vanilla essence and sour cream until thoroughly blended.
- One egg at a time, adding and beating thoroughly after each addition.
- Over the chilled crust in the springform pan, pour the cheesecake filling.
- To make the Crumble Topping, put the flour, sugar, and cinnamon (if using) in a medium-sized bowl.
- When the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, add the cold, cubed butter and work it into the dry ingredients with your fingertips or a pastry cutter.
- Over the cheesecake filling, evenly distribute the crumble topping.
- To bake the cheesecake, preheat the oven and bake for approximately one hour, or until the center is almost done but not quite set.
- After turning off the oven, let the cheesecake inside for approximately an hour, with the door slightly ajar. Take out of the oven and chill for a minimum of four hours or overnight.
- Serve: Before serving, carefully remove the springform pan’s sides. Cut into slices and savor this delightfully unusual Crumble-
