Components
Regarding the Cake:
- two to three ripe bananas, mashed (approximately one cup)
- Half a cup of softened unsalted butter
- 1 cup of sugar, granulated
- Two big eggs
- One teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of flour for all purposes
- One teaspoon of baking soda
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
Regarding the Optional Topping:
- Half a cup of chopped pecans or walnuts
- One-fourth cup brown sugar
- One teaspoon of cinnamon

Guidelines
1. Turn on the oven:
- Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a square pan (8 by 8 inches) or a loaf pan (9 by 5 inches).
2. Combine Wet Substances:
- Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar in a big bowl until they are light and fluffy. One egg at a time, add them and stir thoroughly after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and mashed bananas and stir.
