Mango Crumble Bars Recipe
Components
Regarding the Crumble & Crust Topping:
- 1/2 cup of flour for all purposes
- Half a cup of rolled oats
- half a cup of packed brown sugar
- One-half tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Half a cup of melted unsalted butter
For the Filling of Mangos:
- two cups chopped fresh or frozen mango
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar (modify according to mango sweetness)
- One tablespoon of corn flour
- One tablespoon of lemon juice
- One tsp vanilla essence
Guidelines
Warm up the oven:
- Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). For easy removal, line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it.
Prepare the Topping and Crust:
- Combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium-sized bowl. Add the melted butter and mix until the mixture is fully mixed and crumbly.
Apply pressure to the mixture:
- For the topping, set aside about 1 cup of the crumble mixture. To construct the crust, press the remaining ingredients evenly into the bottom of the baking pan that has been prepared.
Get the mango filling ready.
- Mango dice, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla essence should all be combined in a different basin. Till the mango is coated, gently stir.
Put the Bars Together:
- Evenly distribute the mango filling after pouring it over the crust. Over the top, scatter the crumble mixture that was set aside.
Cook:
- Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the filling is bubbling and the top is brown.
Chill and Cut:
- Give the bars at least fifteen minutes to cool in the pan. Remove them off the parchment paper if you used it, and allow them to cool fully on a wire rack. Cut into square pieces.
Serve:
- Savor your Mango Crumble Bars as a tasty dessert or after-school snack!
Advice:
- You might want to try adding a little nutmeg or cinnamon to the crumble topping for some more flavor.
- These bars keep well in the refrigerator for up to a week when kept in an airtight container.
