Banana Cocoa Bites
Parts and pieces:
- Two bananas that are fully ripe
- Two teaspoons of cocoa powder that is not sweetened
- 1 milliliter of vanilla extract (this is optional).
- If you want to add more flavour, you can use either peanut butter or almond butter by the spoonful.
Details to follow:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- In a bowl, mash the bananas until they are completely smooth. You should have a consistency similar to that of a puree, with no huge bits.
- Blend in the cocoa powder until it is well incorporated. Combine the vanilla essence and nut butter, if you are using them, at this point in the process.
- To create little round bites, put the mixture onto the baking sheet that has been prepared. Each bite should contain around one spoonful of the ingredients.
- The bites should be baked for around 12 to 15 minutes, or until they have become firm and have a somewhat crispy exterior while still being soft on the inside.
- Wait a few minutes for the dish to cool on a wire rack, and then savor it!
Add-ins that are optional:
- An additional texture can be achieved by adding a handful of chopped nuts, seeds, or dark chocolate chips.
- A twist on the flavour can be achieved by adding a dash of chilli powder or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Feel free to indulge in these naturally sweet banana cocoa bites, which are ideal for a speedy snack or a nutritious dessert.
