Hash Brown Quiche
This delicious hash brown quiche dish is ideal for brunch or breakfast.
Ingredients
For the Crust:
- 3 cups frozen hash browns, thawed
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk (or heavy cream)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
- 1 cup cooked meat (such as bacon, sausage, or ham) – optional
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 cup spinach or other vegetables (like bell peppers or mushrooms), chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Guidelines:
- Turn on the Oven: Set the oven’s temperature to 425°F (220°C).
- To make the crust, put the frozen hash browns, melted butter, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Blend well.
- Form a crust by pressing the hash brown mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish or quiche pan, pressing it up the edges as well.
- Preheat the oven and bake the crust for approximately 20 minutes, or until it is just beginning to brown. Take it out of the oven and let it to cool a little.
Get the Filling Ready:
- Whisk the eggs and milk together in a large bowl. Add the cheese, onion, spinach, cooked meat (if using), and any other veggies. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper for seasoning.
Put the Quiche together:
- Evenly distribute the filling mixture across the cooked hash brown crust.
- Bake: Bake the quiche for 30 to 35 minutes, or until it is set and has a golden brown top.
- Chill and Present: Prior to slicing, allow the quiche to chill for a
- few minutes. Heat or serve room temperature.

- Make Ahead: The quiche may be made in advance and warmed up for brunch or breakfast.
- Storage: Keep leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days in an airtight container. Use a microwave or oven to reheat.
