CHEESY POTATO PUFFS (AIR FRYER RECIPE)
Ingredients:
- Two cups of cooled mashed potatoes
- One cup of shredded cheese, either cheddar or a blend of your preferred cheeses
- 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
- Two tablespoons of finely chopped chives
- One beaten egg
- Half a cup of all-purpose flour
- one tsp powdered garlic
- To taste, add salt and pepper.
- Spray with olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
- To make the potato mixture, put the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, grated Parmesan, chopped chives, beaten egg, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Blend until thoroughly blended.
- Form the Puffs: Take tiny amounts of the potato mixture make patty or roll them into balls.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Give your air fryer a five-minute warmup period at 375°F (190°C).
- To get ready for air fryering, lightly mist the basket with olive oil to keep it from sticking.
- Make sure the potato puffs in the basket are not in contact with one another by arranging them in a single layer. The size of your air fryer will determine whether you need to cook them in batches.
- To get a golden finish, lightly mist the tops of the potato puffs with olive oil.
- Air Fry the Puffs: Air fry the potato puffs for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the outsides are crispy and golden brown, at 375°F (190°C). To ensure even browning, flip them halfway through the cooking time.
- Serve and Garnish: Take the potato puffs out of the air fryer and allow them to cool a little.
- If preferred, garnish with extra finely chopped chives and grated Parmesan.
