Homemade Pineapple Soft Serve Ice Cream
I have no clue when or why this thought first entered my mind. I’m now certain that making homemade soft serve is the simplest and tastiest thing I’ve done in a long time. It could have been the ultra-fluffy hibiscus sorbet I made a few years ago or the ice cream-like texture of a newly prepared frozen fruit smoothie.
To start with, there is no guilt involved at all. It takes around ten minutes to prepare, is vegan, gluten-free, and prepared with only three ingredients. What’s not to enjoy, really? I must be a genius, right?
After four minutes of intense Google searching, I discovered that this business named Disneyland, Disneygalaxy, or something similar makes something called Dole Whip, which is quite similar to the really amazing pineapple soft serve I just made!
Don’t tell my kids that I found this out. Being the only kids in the globe without a Disneyland visit gives them even more cause to despise me. By the way, it doesn’t really matter to them that I’ve never been there either.
This smooth, airy ice cream should not be put off by the fact that I’m not the culinary virtuoso I once believed I was. To make it, just place frozen pineapple in a food processor, add a little amount of coconut milk and agave syrup for sweetness, process until smooth, and enjoy!
If you want the traditional soft serve texture that feels as light as air, you should consume the ice cream immediately. It will ultimately harden entirely and resemble granita rather than ice cream, but you may still put it in the freezer to help it solidify. To restore its scoopability, remove it from the freezer and let it sit on the counter for ten to fifteen minutes.
