Old Fashioned Pancakes

Old Fashioned Pancakes

Components:

  1. One cup of flour for all purposes
  2. two tsp sugar
  3. One-third tsp baking powder
  4. Half a teaspoon of salt
  5. One cup of milk (either whole or buttermilk for added taste)
  6. One big egg
  7. Two tsp melted butter + additional for cooking
  8. One teaspoon of optional vanilla extract

Guidelines:

Combine the dry ingredients:

  • Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a sizable bowl.

Mix the Wet Ingredients:

  • Combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract (if desired) in a another bowl.

Blend Concoctions:

  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients by pouring them together. Gently stir until well blended. A few lumps are acceptable as long as you don’t overmix!

Warm up the pan:

  • Heat a griddle or skillet to a medium temperature. To coat the surface, add a little butter.

Prepare the Pancakes:

  • For each pancake, transfer roughly 1/4 cup of batter to the skillet. Simmer for two to three minutes, or until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges appear firm. Brown for an additional one to two minutes after flipping.

Serve:

  • While preparing the remaining batter, keep the pancakes warm in a low oven. Garnish with your preferred toppings, fresh fruit, or maple syrup!

Advice:

Before cooking, let the batter sit for five to ten minutes for maximum fluff.

If desired, you can add mix-ins like chocolate chips, almonds, or blueberries!

Savor your handmade pancakes the old-fashioned way!
