NOTES Taste Adjustments
- Onions: Before heating, add some finely chopped white or yellow onions to your bowl of sauce and mix thoroughly.
- Mushrooms: Steak and mushrooms are a natural combination. Just add the mushrooms to the bowl, toss them in the sauce, drizzle a bit more oil over them, and air fried them with the steak pieces.
- Spices: Garlic, ginger, paprika, cumin, coriander, chili powder, lemon juice, and toasted sesame seeds are other spices that pair well with soy sauce.
- Sauces: You can serve the steak bites with Worcestershire sauce, Cajun butter sauce, mustard cream, barbecue sauce, A1 sauce, hummus, tzatziki sauce, or steak Diane sauce.
- Cheese: When it comes to steak, I can’t get enough of crumbled blue cheese. When the steak is cooked through, sprinkle it with some crumbled blue cheese and let it melt a little bit into the meat. This is a choice that many well-known steakhouses now provide, and I truly enjoy it. It gives the meat a strong, acidic flavor.
- Butter: After the air fryer steak is cooked, toss it in a bowl with butter. This component will provide it flavor in addition to moisture.
- Garlic: Add the garlic at the beginning of the marinating process to lock in even more flavor, and then cook it as directed by the recipe. When plating the steak for supper, mince the garlic and mix it in a bowl with a little melted butter if you’re like me and like raw garlic.
