Air Fryer Jerk Chicken Wings
With our Air Fryer Jerk Chicken Wings Ingredients, get ready to take your taste buds on a trip to the Caribbean.
INGREDIENTS
- Two pounds of chicken wings, divided into flats and drumettes
- Jerk seasoning, two to three tablespoons
- Two tsp olive oil
- Two tsp of brown sugar
- Two tsp soy sauce
- two tsp freshly extracted lime juice
- 3–4 minced garlic cloves
- One tsp finely grated ginger, fresh
- One tsp of sea salt or Kosher salt
- half a teaspoon of pepper, black
Guidelines
- The jerk seasoning, olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, freshly grated ginger, a little salt, and a dash of black pepper should all be combined in a mixing bowl. Blend the ingredients thoroughly to create a fragrant, silky marinade.
- The chicken wings can be put in a shallow dish or a sizable plastic bag that can be sealed. Make sure the wings are evenly coated by pouring the marinade of jerk seasoning over them. For maximum flavor, let them marinade for a few hours or cover the dish and seal the bag. Then, place it in the refrigerator for at least thirty minutes.
- For around five minutes, preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- To keep the air fryer basket or rack from sticking, lightly oil it. Make sure the air fryer basket is not too full as you arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer. They might need to be cooked in batches. Bake the wings for 25 to 30 minutes at 380°F/193°C, turning them over halfway through.
- The wings should be at least 165°F (74°C) internally, and they should be crispy and golden brown on the outside. You can cook them for a few more minutes if necessary.
- After that, place the cooked jerk chicken wings on a dish. If preferred, garnish with finely chopped cilantro and fresh lime wedges. Enjoy the explosion of flavors from the Caribbean while serving them hot!
