- To taste, cinnamon
- Add nutmeg according to taste
- one tsp lemon juice
- 12 wrappers for egg rolls
- Olive oil for using as a brush
- Cinnamon and icing sugar mixture for dusting
Guidelines
- To make the apple filling, cut the apples and mix them with flour, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl. To evenly cover the apples, thoroughly mix.
- Complete Egg Roll Wrappers: Fill the centre of each egg roll wrapper with a heaping tablespoon of the apple mixture. After folding in the edges and folding one side over the apples, wrap up to seal. To seal, dab a little water on the edge.
- Set Air Fryer to 375°F (190°C): Set your air fryer to 375°F.
Apply a Light Olive Oil Brush: Lightly coat each apple pie with olive oil. - Air Fry: Arrange the apple pies in a single layer within the air fryer basket. For 5-7 minutes, air fry, then turn and continue for an additional 5 minutes. The pies have to have a golden brown colour and a small bubble in the pastry.
- Allow the pies to cool somewhat before dusting them with a mixture of cinnamon and powdered sugar.
