Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Legs

- Chicken BBQ is such a comfort dish. Everybody has had BBQ chicken at some point in their childhood.
- My spouse and I were discussing our favorite barbecue recipes when we realized it had been more than ten years since we had had BBQ chicken legs! We started this recipe using some that we had made in our air fryer around a year prior.
- There are two benefits to the legs. First first, it brings back my childhood. I don’t know why, but whenever I eat cooked chicken legs, I can’t help but smile. Second, they’re quite simple to prepare and consume!
- They leave behind crispy skin and tender meat that you may consume with or without cutlery!
Components
- Eight drumsticks of chicken
- One tablespoon of olive oil
- Two tsp dry rub for BBQ view the notes
- Half a cup barbecue sauce more flavour
- As a garnish, parsley
Guidelines
- Set the air fryer’s temperature to 400°F.
- In a dish, combine the chicken, olive oil, and BBQ rub. Using your hands, coat the chicken with the rub.
- Put the chicken in the basket of the air fryer. Avoid packing too many people in one area. The size of your air fryer will determine whether you need to operate in batches.
- Cook the chicken for 17 minutes, turning it over halfway through.
- Cook the chicken for a further three to five minutes, or until it reaches a temperature of at least 165 degrees and as high as 185 degrees, after basting it with the BBQ sauce (see notes).
- After serving hot, sprinkle parsley over the chicken.
