Air Fryer Butterscotch Pie
This Butterscotch Pie is a wonderful dessert that is guaranteed to impress, made with a rich, creamy butterscotch filling and a flaky pie crust. You can easily get a golden-brown finish on the pie by using an air fryer.
Components
- One cup of well-packaged light brown sugar
- Four tsp cornflour
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- two glasses of milk
- two beaten egg yolks
- One spoonful of butter
- One tsp vanilla essence
- One pie crust (9-inch), already baked
Guidelines
Get the butterscotch filling ready.
- Mix the cornflour, milk, salt, and light brown sugar in a saucepan or on top of a double boiler.
- Stirring continually, cook over medium heat until sauce starts to thicken. It should take 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
- After the filling has thickened, whisk in the beaten egg yolks and cook, stirring, until the filling is smooth and completely thickened.
Include the final details:
- After taking the filling off the stove, thoroughly mix in the butter and vanilla essence.
Warm up the air fryer.
- For three minutes, preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Put the Pie Together:
- Fill the prebaked pie crust with the prepared butterscotch filling.
Air-Fry the Pie:
- Carefully slide the pie into the air fryer basket.
- For approximately 5-8 minutes, or until the top of the pie starts to softly brown, air fry at 375°F (190°C).
Chill and Present:
- After taking the pie out of the air fryer, let it to reach room temperature. Cooling will cause the filling to solidify even more.
- Once cool, cut into slices and serve.
