Air Fryer Cacio E Pepe Fritters
Introducing the Air Fryer Cacio E Pepe Fritters! The delightfully crunchy bite-sized version of the traditional Roman pasta dish, known as Air Fryer Cacio e Pepe Fritters, is sure to captivate your palate.
INGREDIENTS
- Two pounds of linguine or spaghetti
- One cup of shaved pecorino romano or Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup of flour for all purposes
- Three big eggs
- One and a half tsp Kosher salt
- Three tsp of black pepper
Guidelines
- Cook the spaghetti first, following the directions on the package, then rinse with cool water and leave aside.
- The cold spaghetti, eggs, flour, freshly ground black pepper, and shredded Pecorino Romano cheese should all be combined in a big basin. Combine
- ensuring that the egg and cheese mixture coats the spaghetti completely. By doing this, the fritters will stay together.
- Take 3-5 minutes to preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. After preheating, line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Apply a thin layer of olive oil or nonstick cooking spray to the parchment paper. By doing this, the fritters won’t adhere to the parchment paper.
- Twirl about 2 teaspoons of the spaghetti mix with a fork and a large spoon, then gently set it onto the air fryer basket prepared with parchment paper to make a bundle. To make three more bundles, repeat the procedure. Keep in mind that you’ll have to make these in batches!
- Use an olive oil spray or brush to coat the tops. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping the food midway through and brushing or spraying with olive oil spray one more.
- Before serving, allow the fritters to cool for a few minutes after they’ve finished cooking. You can eat them just the way they are or you can dip them in some marinara sauce.
