Air Fryer Cooked Rice Balls
Rice balls fried in an air fryer make a delicious snack or appetiser since they can have a crunchy exterior and a soft interior. This is a basic recipe for making them:
Ingredients:
- Two cups of cooked rice, such Arborio or sushi rice
- Grated Parmesan cheese, half a cup
- One-fourth cup of breadcrumbs
- One huge egg that has been beaten
- half a teaspoon of powdered garlic
- Half a teaspoon of powdered onion
- To taste, add salt and pepper.
- Not required: chopped fresh herbs, such as chives or parsley
- To serve, use your preferred dipping sauce, such as marinara.
Guidelines:
- Cooked rice, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, onion and garlic powders, salt, and pepper should all be combined in a large mixing dish. Add the chopped fresh herbs, if using. Blend thoroughly until all components are uniformly blended.
- Form the rice mixture into a ball approximately the size of a golf ball using a tiny handful. Proceed with the leftover ingredients, ensuring that the rice balls are packed tightly to maintain their shape.
For three to five minutes, preheat your air fryer to 370°F (187°C). - To keep the air fryer basket from sticking, lightly spritz or brush it with oil.
- Place the rice balls in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each ball for air circulation.

- Cook the rice balls in the preheated air fryer for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Once cooked, remove the rice balls from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the air fryer cooked rice balls warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
