Air fryer Italian Stromboli
Searching for a delectable dinner with an Italian flair that’s appropriate for entertaining or a relaxing evening in? Try this simple recipe for Italian Stromboli! A family favourite, it’s loaded with savoury deli meats, melted cheese, and a delicious garlic butter topping.
Ingredients;
- 1 tube of Pillsbury pizza crust (or similar)
- 8 slices deli ham
- 10 slices Genoa salami
- 12 slices sandwich pepperoni
- 8 slices provolone cheese or mozzarella (shredded cheese can also be used)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
- 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
Method:
- To make the Garlic Butter Mixture, microwave the butter until it melts. Add Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and minced garlic. Put aside.
- Warm up and get ready:
Set your Air Fryer to the appropriate temperature shown on the tube for pizza crust. Use parchment paper to line a baking sheet. - Get the dough ready:
Using the parchment paper, stretch the pizza dough until it almost reaches the length of the baking sheet.
Ingredients: Spread the deli meats over the pizza dough that has been stretched. Start with the ham, then go on to the salami and pepperoni. - Add Cheddar:
Arrange slivers of provolone or mozzarella cheese on top of the meats, or scatter cheese shavings.
Roll and Seal: Make sure the seam is properly sealed by rolling the Stromboli lengthwise. To seal the Stromboli, pinch and shape the ends of the dough below. - Get ready to bake:
Using a serrated knife, make many indentations on the top of the Stromboli to let out steam during baking.
Cover with Garlic Butter: Evenly cover the top of the Stromboli with the prepared garlic butter mixture. - Bake: Follow the directions on the pizza crust tube and bake the Stromboli in the air fryer that has been prepared. Without par-baking, the bake time will usually be comparable to that of a standard pizza crust.
Present and Savour: - Take the Stromboli out of the air fryer after it’s golden brown. Let it cool down a little before slicing. Enjoy and warm up!
