Air fryer Southwest Egg Rolls

Southwest egg rolls made in an air fryer are a delicious treat that everyone will want to try. These egg rolls are flavorful and crunchy, combining all the greatest elements of southern cuisine! This recipe for air-fried vegetarian egg rolls is crispy and ideal as an appetiser for a game night or for a casual get-together with friends. They would also go great with a burrito bowl! Components

  1. 1/2 cup of red bell pepper, chopped finely
  2. Half (1/2) cup of green bell pepper, chopped finely
  3. 1/2 cup of red onion, chopped finely
  4. One (1) cup of kernel corn
  5. One cup of black beans
  6. Slicing one-half cup (1/2 cup) of green onions
  7. two jalapeño jalapenos, minced
  8. Two cups of shredded salt, to taste Four cheese mixture
  9. Three tablespoons of taco seasoning
  10. One box of egg roll wrappers and spray oil

Guidelines

Get the egg rolls ready.

  • In a big bowl, combine black beans, corn, cheese, green onions, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and taco seasonings. Stir to combine well.
  • Place roughly two tablespoons of the mixture in the middle of each egg roll wrapper. Tuck the top corner of the wrapper under the filling before folding the left and right corners over the filling.
  • Gently apply a small amount of water to the remaining corner, then roll the filled end towards it and gently press to seal.
  • With the remaining filling and egg roll wrappers, repeat the procedure.
  • Using your fingers or an even sprayer, cover both sides of the egg rolls evenly with oil.
    Method for air fryers:
  • Cook at 375°F for 12 minutes in batches, flipping once halfway through, until golden brown.
    If preferred, serve right away with dipping sauce on the side.

OVEN METHOD:

  • Set the oven temperature to 400°F. Apply oil spray on a sheet pan.
  • Place the egg rolls on the baking sheet and cook, rotating midway through, for 16 to 18 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

  • Working in batches as needed, place egg rolls in the CrispLid air fryer basket in a single layer.
    Apply frying spray on egg rolls.
  • Place the CrispLid trivet into the pressure cooker’s inner steel pot, then place the fryer basket on top of the trivet.
    Place CrispLid between the plugin and the inner steel pot.
    For 6 minutes, fry at 400°F (200°C); flip the egg rolls and continue cooking for an additional 6 minutes.
  • Using the handle, raise the lid and place it on the silicone pad.
  • Continue with the remaining egg rolls.
