Air fryer teriyaki salmon

Air fryer teriyaki salmon

Ingredients:

  1. 4 salmon fillets
  2. 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  3. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  4. 2 tablespoons honey
  5. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  6. 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  7. 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  8. Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag. Pour about half of the teriyaki sauce over the salmon, reserving the other half for later. Make sure the salmon is evenly coated in the marinade. Allow it to marinate for at least 15-30 minutes. You can marinate it longer for a stronger flavor.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
  4. Air Fry the Salmon: Place the marinated salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Cook the salmon for about 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon should be opaque and easily flake with a fork.
  5. Baste with Reserved Teriyaki Sauce: About halfway through the cooking time, open the air fryer and brush the salmon fillets with the reserved teriyaki sauce. This will add extra flavor and create a nice glaze.
Serve: Once the salmon is cooked through and has a beautiful caramelized glaze, remove it from the air fryer. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
Serve with Side Dish: Teriyaki salmon pairs well with steamed rice and steamed or stir-fried vegetables. You can also drizzle any extra teriyaki sauce over the salmon and rice for extra flavor
