Guidelines:
Prepare the Beef:
- Heat a sprinkle of olive oil in a big skillet over medium heat. Using a spoon, break up the ground beef as you cook it until it turns brown. When necessary, drain extra fat.
Incorporate Aromatics:
- Add the minced garlic and onion to the skillet. The onion should be tender and transparent after three to four minutes of sautéing.
Include Cabbage
- Add the chopped cabbage and stir. Cook, tossing occasionally, until the cabbage begins to wilt, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Add the seasoning and tomatoes:
- Add the diced tomatoes together with their juice, paprika, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix thoroughly to blend.
Reduce:
- Once the cabbage is soft, reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer it for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring now and then.
Serve:
- If necessary, taste and adjust the seasoning. Before serving, top with cheese shredded if preferred.
