- One cup of shredded mozzarella: adds a deliciously gooey layer of cheese.
- Optional: Marinara sauce for dipping A traditional combination that enhances the cal-zones.
Butter Garnish:
- four teaspoons softened butter
- two tsp finely chopped fresh parsley
Alfredo Dressing:
- Five teaspoons of butter
- One cup of thickened cream for whipping
- four cloves of garlic, chopped or grated
- One teaspoon of Cajun or Italian seasoning
- One-half tsp salt, or to taste
- Add pepper to taste, or ¼ teaspoon.
- One cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
getting ready:
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce in Step 1.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over a medium-low heat. Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant. After adding the heavy cream, season with salt, pepper, and Italian or Cajun seasoning. After bringing to a gentle simmer, let it thicken for around three minutes. Once the Parmesan cheese has melted and the sauce has thickened and become creamy, stir it in. While you’re making the dough, adjust the ingredients to taste and let the sauce cool.
Step 2: Put the Cal zones together
- Form the pizza dough into four-ounce portions. Form each ball into a 6-inch circle using hands that are clean and sprinkled with flour. Transfer a heaping tablespoon of Alfredo sauce to the middle of the dough, making sure the sides remain sauce-free. Add a generous amount of pulled chicken and a big pinch of mozzarella cheese on top. To create a half-circle, fold the dough in half over the fillings. Pinch and fold the sides back to seal. Continue with the leftover dough balls.
Step 3: Get the butter topping ready.
- In a small bowl, melt the butter and mix in the minced parsley.
Step 4: Let the Cal-zones air fry
- Set the air fryer’s temperature to 375°F. Make sure the calzones don’t come into contact with one another as you load them into the air fryer basket. Apply the melted pa to the cal-zones.
