Home made air fryer cake, one of the best cakes I have ever made!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg mixed dried fruit
- 2 cups chocolate milk
- 1/2-3/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream
- 2 cups self-raising flour
Directions:
Soak the Fruit:
In a large bowl, combine the mixed dried fruit, chocolate milk, and Baileys. Cover and let it soak for 24 hours in the refrigerator.
Prepare the Batter:
After soaking, fold the self-raising flour into the fruit mixture until well combined.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 3 minutes.
Prepare the Baking Dish:
Line an air fryer-safe baking dish with parchment paper. Ensure the dish fits in your air fryer basket.
Air Fry the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spoon.
Place the dish in the air fryer basket. Cook at 320°F (160°C) for 60-75 minutes. Check the cake halfway through, and if the top is browning too quickly, cover it loosely with foil.
Check for Doneness:
Insert a skewer or toothpick into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is done. If not, cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, checking periodically.
Cool and Serve:
Once cooked, remove the cake from the air fryer and let it cool in the dish for about 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
