Components
- One pound of ground beef and one cup of plain or seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- half a cup of milk
- Two big eggs
- Two teaspoons of ketchup plus more for drizzling
- One spoonful of sauce from Worcestershire
- one tsp powdered garlic
- One tsp salt
- half a teaspoon of pepper, black
- One teaspoon of optional dried thyme
- One teaspoon of optional dried parsley
Guidelines
Warm up the oven:
- Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
Get the Combination Ready:
- Ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley should all be combined in a big bowl. Make sure to blend only until incorporated; do not overmix.
Form the Meatloaf:
- Pour the batter into a loaf pan or form the mixture into a loaf on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Place ketchup on top:
- To add extra flavor and moisture, lightly coat the meatloaf with ketchup.
Cook:
- Bake for approximately one hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C), in the preheated oven.
Take a Break and Serve:
- Before slicing, give the meatloaf ten minutes to rest. Serve with your preferred side dishes, such as a simple salad, green beans, or mashed potatoes.
Advice:
- For added taste and nutrition, you can add grated carrots or diced bell peppers.
- The next day, leftover meatloaf makes fantastic sandwiches!
