In today’s fast-paced world, discovering simple and delicious recipes is like finding treasure. Look no farther than our homemade version for a tasty pita bread recipe that won’t require a lot of time spent in the kitchen. You can prepare a loaf of fluffy, fresh pita bread in about six minutes with a few basic ingredients.
Ingredients:
- One hundred milli grammes of white sugar
- Just one scoop of yogurt
- one tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1.5 tablespoons of table salt
- 6.76 fluid ounces (about 3/4 cup) of milk
- 2. 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour (10.58 ounces)
- One tablespoon of dry yeast
Directions:
- Mix All of the Substances: In a large basin, combine the oil, sugar, and salt. Once the salt and sugar have dissolved, mix in the yoghurt and hot milk.
- Using Flour and Yeast: Next, mix the flour and yeast with the wet ingredients. Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly.
- It takes four to five minutes to knead the dough until it is smooth, elastic, and no longer adheres to your hands.
- Allow Dough to Rise: The dough should have doubled in size after 20 minutes of rising.
- Once the dough has risen, gently deflate it and set it on a floured board before shaping and rolling. Divide into 12 equal pieces and roll each one into a ball.
- Roll each ball into a little circle with a rolling pin before baking. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and cover with a tea towel. Bake at 250°C for 6 minutes in a preheated oven.
- Allow the pita bread to cool slightly after baking before serving. Slurp up some homemade pita bread and enjoy its fluffy, toasty deliciousness.
Air fryer method:
- For around five minutes, preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Cooking the Pitas: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil when it has preheated.
- Make sure the flattened dough discs do not overlap when you place them in the air fryer basket.
- Cook the pitas for five to seven minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffy. The cooking time may need to be adjusted according to the model of your air fryer.
- Before serving, take the cooked pitas out of the air fryer and place them on a wire rack to cool slightly.
Repeat: Continue this procedure with the remaining sections of dough until all of the pitas have been cooked.
