Malt Loaf in the Air Fryer

Malt Loaf in the Air Fryer

Make your favorite old-fashioned Malt loaf in the air fryer with this simple easy-to-prep recipe. The air fryer makes a wonderful job of flawlessly air frying tea bread and then delivers sliced malt loaf warm with some butter for the ultimate afternoon treat.

Tea bread is something that my Grandma would make with leftovers from baking and what’s fantastic about it, is that you are likely to have all the ingredients in already.

Components

  1. 225 g Mixed Dried Fruit
  2. 175 g Light Brown Sugar
    1 Yorkshire Tea Bag
  3. 1 Large Egg
  4. 225 g Self Raising Flour
  5. 1 Tbsp. Mixed Peel
  6. 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  7. 1 Tsp Mixed Spice
  8. Pinch Nutmeg (slang)

instructions

  • One teabag and 180 milliliters, or three quarters of a cup, of boiling water brew a cup of tea. Allow it to sit for a few minutes so that you can make a cup of tea that is very strong. After that, take out the tea bag.
  • Put all of the dried fruit and the sugar into a bowl that can be used for mixing. After pouring in the hot tea, stir it out. Put the dried fruit into the refrigerator for the night so that the tea can soak into the fruit.
  • Next day, stir the mixture, and then add the seasonings and the peel that has been mixed together.
  • When you have finished beating in an egg, you will have a mixture that is wet.
  • When you have finished stirring in the flour, your recipe for a quick tea loaf is now ready to be put into two mini silicone loaf pans.
  • After that, put them in the air fryer and cook them for fifteen minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius (360 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • After that, drop the temperature to 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit) and continue cooking for another twenty minutes, or until a thermometer inserted into the center of the air fryer comes out clean.
  • After allowing the recipe for the fruit loaf bread to cool, remove it from the silicone slice and serve it with butter.
