Pineapple Upside Down Fudge

VARIATIONS
The proportions of chocolate chips to sweetened condensed milk in this recipe are the same for all types of fudge. For a s’mores fudge, mix semi-sweet chocolate chips with marshmallows and crumbled graham crackers. Alternatively, use strawberry cake mix and add freeze-dried strawberries to the mixture. There are countless options.
Components
- 14-ounce can Condensed milk with added sweetness
- Half a cup of yellow cake mix
- 2.1/2 cups of chocolate chips, white
- Chopped Candied Pineapple, 3/4 cup
- Remove the 18 Maraschino cherry stems and chop them in half.
Guidelines
- Using parchment paper, line a 9 x 9 baking pan. If preferred, mist with cooking spray.
- In a medium saucepan, combine cake mix, sweetened condensed milk, and white chocolate chips.
- Cook while whisking over medium heat until The blend is smooth and melting.
- Add the chopped candied pineapple and stir.
- Pour the fudge into the baking dish lined with parchment.
- Incorporate the cherry halves firmly into the fudge blend. You can leave the cherries on top or use a knife to twirl them into the fudge.
- Let cool for two hours in the refrigerator or overnight at room temperature, then cut into 36 pieces, about 1 1/2 inches each.

- Slow Cooking Technique: In a slow cooker, combine cake mix, white chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk. Cook over low heat, stirring now and then, for one hour, or until all the ingredients are smooth and melted. After turning off the heat, whisk in the chopped candied pineapple.
