Components

Regarding the Cake:

  9. One cup of buttermilk
  10. 1 ½ cups pureed fresh strawberries

Regarding the Strawberry Frosting:

  • One cup softened unsalted butter
  • Four cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup pureed strawberries (made with fresh strawberries)
  • One teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A small amount of salt

1. Get the cake ready:

  • Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Butter and dust three 8-inch circular cake pans.
  • Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Beat the sugar and softened butter together in a big bowl until they are light and fluffy.
  • One egg at a time, add them, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and stir.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture gradually, starting and finishing with the dry ingredients and alternating with the buttermilk. Blend until barely mixed.
  • Gently fold in the strawberry puree.
  • Among the prepared pans, distribute the batter equally.
  • When a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, bake for 25 to 30 minutes. After allowing the cakes to cool in the pans for ten minutes, move them to wire racks to finish cooling.

2. Prepare the frosting:

  • Beat the softened butter until it becomes creamy in a large bowl.
  • Add powdered sugar gradually and mix on low speed until well blended.
  • Incorporate the vanilla extract, strawberry puree, and a small amount of salt. Beat until fluffy and smooth at a medium speed.

3. Put the Cake Together:

  • Arrange a single layer of cake onto a platter. Cover with a layer of icing.
  • Repeat the icing step after adding the second layer. Top with the third layer.
  • Frost the cake’s edges and top. If preferred, garnish with mint leaves and fresh strawberries.

4. Present:
