THE BEST Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
The leaves of Brussels sprouts become wonderfully crunchy and brittle when air-fried, making them probably the greatest vegetable you can cook. Here they are served with garlic slivers, which, when they cook, become aromatic golden chips. Subsequently, a mixture of thickened balsamic vinegar and complicated seasonings, including soy sauce and lime juice, are drizzled over the entire dish. Make sure to have a enough supply of napkins available for serving this as a snack or as a side dish to go with beverages.
Components
- One pound of trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts (cut larger ones in quarters)
- Three teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil
- Spoonful of kosher salt
- Two finely cut cloves of garlic
- 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
- Fresh lime juice, one teaspoon, plus extra for serving
- Use a teaspoon of soy sauce.
instructions
- If heating the air fryer beforehand, set the temperature to 400 degrees.
- Put the brussels sprouts in the basket of the air fryer and sprinkle with salt and one tablespoon of oil. Fry the sprouts for fifteen minutes, tossing them halfway through or shaking the basket.
- Add a little garlic to the sprouts. Fry for a further two to four minutes, or until the garlic is golden brown.
- Meanwhile, simmer the balsamic vinegar in a small pot. Simmer for a further two to three minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning, or until the mixture thickens and begins to resemble syrup. (Pay careful attention to it; it will quickly turn from reduced to burned.) Take off the heat and mix in the soy sauce, lime juice, and two tablespoons of oil.
- Move the Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and pour some balsamic dressing over them. To taste, squeeze extra lime juice on top.
Note: Before air-frying, cook the Brussels sprouts for a few minutes in the microwave with a cup of water. It will become incredibly delicate and tender with this hack. Have fun with it.
