10 Minute Air Fryer Omelette
My number one tip for an easy, high-protein breakfast that makes little mess is this 10-minute air fryer omelette. You’ll never go back after you give it a try!
It seems like society as a whole has decided that omelets are reserved for exceptional occasions. It’s what your mother would cook you on the weekends when the mornings were slower, or what you would order at a fancy breakfast restaurant. It also makes some sense!
INGREDIENTS
- Eggs
- Bell pepper, spinach, and Feta cheese
- To taste, add salt and black pepper.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Take out your air fryer dish or liner and preheat it to 350 degrees. Whisk the eggs in a small basin or right in the liner, then add the mix-ins. Fill the liner of your air fryer with the mixture in a single layer.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until done. Take out of the liner, cut into pieces if preferred, and savor!
Changes and Adjustments
- To prepare without dairy: Leave out the cheese or use your preferred dairy-free cheese.
- These are my favorite omelette mix-ins, although everyone has their own. Feel free to alter based on available resources! Here are a few brief recommendations:
- fungi
- caramelized onions
- goat cheese
- Roasted vegetables leftover from dinner; chopped greens
- new herbs
- fiery sauce
- I have some alternatives because I am aware that not everyone has air fryer liners. Initially, an oven-safe, shallow baking dish that fits within your air fryer could be used. My personal favorite alternative is to press a tortilla into the basket! Your air fryer omelette cooks in a reusable “bowl” this way.
STORAGE
- make this dish the morning of for the best results because it only takes ten minutes to prepare. Check out these delicious meal prep egg recipes: mason jar omelettes or quinoa egg cupcakes.
