INGREDIENTS
- Six tsp unsalted butter, separated
- Four garlic cloves, or one tablespoon of minced garlic
- One tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley
- One tablespoon of olive oil
- Four strip steaks from New York steaks (Porterhouse steaks)
- Add pepper and salt.
- Eight ounces (250 g) of deveined shrimp with optional tails
DIRECTIONS
- Combine butter, chopped parsley, and garlic. Store in the fridge until needed.
- Turn up the heat to high on a big grill. Grease grill plates very lightly with oil. Dry the steaks with a paper towel. Season liberally with salt and pepper and lightly brush with oil.
- Cook steaks on the grill for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Using half of the butter, coat the steaks. After moving the steaks to a warm dish, give them five minutes to rest.
- The leftover butter should be melted while the steaks rest. Add some salt and pepper to the shrimp.
- Depending on the size and thickness of the shrimp, grill them for 5 to 6 minutes on medium heat. Halfway through the cooking period, turn each one over and keep cooking until the outside is a lovely pink color and the inside is opaque and white.
- Throw away the remainder Mix butter with shrimp and serve alongside steak!
NOTES:
- For steaks, use porterhouse, strip, sirloin, rib eye, T-bone, eye fillet, or Scotch fillet.
- Shrimp with or without a tail are OK. Before cooking frozen shrimp, defrost them and blot them dry with a paper towel.
