Ingredients:
- two and a third cups heated milk
- One tsp sugar
- 1 teaspoon instant dry yeast
- 1 to 1 ⅔ cups All-Purpose Flour, plus extra for dusting
- One tsp salt
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoon butter, melted
- 8 ounces cheese, mozzarella or cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and instant dry yeast. Stir gently and let sit for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture is frothy, indicating the yeast is active.
- Add one cup flour, salt, olive oil, and two tablespoons of melted butter to the yeast mixture. Stir until fully incorporated. Until the dough comes together but is still slightly sticky, gradually add additional flour. Maybe you won’t use all of the flour.
- After transferring the dough to a floured surface, knead it for five to seven minutes, or until it becomes elastic and smooth. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour.
- After putting the dough in a bowl that has been oiled, turn it over to coat all sides. Place a clean kitchen towel (tea towel) or cling wrap over the top and let it rise in a warm location until it has doubled in size, about one hour.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a surface dusted with flour. The dough should be divided into equal portions (approximately 8–10 rolls). Each portion should be slightly flattened before having a tablespoon or a black of cheese and a dash of Italian seasoning placed in the centre. Form the dough ball by gathering the edges and pinching to seal.
- Arrange the formed rolls, seam side down, in a single layer in an air fryer basket that has been lightly oiled, leaving some room for expansion between each roll. For a further half hour, cover and allow to rise.
- Set the temperature of your air fryer to 320°F, or 160°C. Apply the leftover melted butter to the rolls’ tops. Allocate 8 to 10 minutes for cooking, or until they are thoroughly done and turn golden brown. The size of your air fryer may need you to cook in batches.
- After taking the rolls out of the air fryer, place them on a wire rack to cool somewhat. To get the greatest flavour, serve warm.
