Broccoli Cheese Patties
Parts and pieces:
- A total of two cups of broccoli florets, cooked and cut very finely
- grated cheddar cheese equaling one cup
- one-half cup of breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, both beaten
- Granulated Parmesan cheese, two tablespoons’ worth
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped up
- 1/4 of a teaspoon of powdered onion
- To taste, season with salt and pepper
- For use in frying, olive oil
Details to follow:
- Combine the chopped broccoli, grated cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix until everything is evenly distributed. Perform a thorough mixing until all of the components are dispersed uniformly.
- In a large skillet, bring a tiny amount of olive oil to a steady temperature over medium heat.
- The broccoli mixture should be shaped into a patty using your hands. Take a small handful of the mixture and start shaping it. Take care that the patty is able to maintain its shape. In order to form patties, repeat the process with the remaining mixture.
- Make sure to leave some room between each of the patties when you place them in the skillet. For approximately three to four minutes on each side, or until the exterior is golden brown and crispy.
- After they have been fried, place the broccoli cheese patties on a platter that has been lined with paper towels so that any extra oil may be absorbed.
- As a delectable appetiser, a side dish, or even as a vegetarian alternative to burgers, serve the patties while they are still somewhat warm.
- Have fun eating those delicious broccoli cheese burgers!
