air fryer old fashioned coffee cake
Old-fashioned Coffee Cake in the Air Fryer Two of the most important things on a mother’s day are coffee and cake. I decided to give my air fryer a go after learning that it could produce coffee cake.
Pro Tip:
- You may use any model of oven or fry basket with this recipe. This is something I’ve prepared multiple times in the Mealthy Lid, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, Ninja Foodi, and Instant Pot Vortex. The cooking time may change, but the recipe will stay the same.
- Use a thinner cake pan than you usually would for optimal results, as the air fryer must cook the cake all the way through, which is quite challenging with thick pans.
- While your cake is cooking, keep an eye on it periodically. Lower the oven temperature to 300 degrees F and cover the cake tightly with foil if it seems to be cooking too quickly and the bottom is still raw.
Components
Bottom Layer of Coffee Cake:
- 1 half a cup Jiffy Baking Mix
- 1/4 cup of sugar, granulated
- 1/4 cup of butter
- three-quarters cup milk
- One big egg
Uppermost Layer:
- two tablespoons Baking Jiffy Combine
- Half a cup of brown sugar
- four tsp finely ground cinnamon
- halves cup chopped pecans
- four tsp of butter
Guidelines
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the baking mix, sugar, butter, milk, and egg.
- Next, thoroughly incorporate the batter by mixing it all together. Choose a pan that is compatible with your air fryer and safe to use. Distribute the batter evenly.
- Next, combine the butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and baking mix in a large mixing dish.
- Stir that thoroughly. Add the chopped pecans after that.
- Sprinkle over the coffee cake.
- Place in the air fryer basket or oven and use the air fryer (air fry mode should be selected) for 12 to 15 minutes at 320 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure your cake is done.
- After letting it cool a little, plate, serve, and savor!
