Components
- One can of chilled, baked pizza dough
- One-fourth cup marinara sauce
- Four ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of chopped pepperoni
- Two tablespoons of melted butter
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- One spoonful of seasoning from Italy
Guidelines
- Spread the pizza dough out on a surface dusted with flour. Make circular cuts in the dough with a 3-inch biscuit cutter. Roll out the dough until it is ¼” thick. Put a tablespoon of marinara on one side. Add mozzarella and chopped pepperoni to the marinara. Over the toppings, fold the dough, then pinch the seams shut.
- For 5 minutes, preheat the air fryer to 400°F. In a small bowl, mix together garlic, melted butter, and Italian seasoning. Apply butter mixture to calzones.
- Basket for spraying. Pizza pockets should be arranged in a single layer inside the basket, with no gaps between them. As the pizza pockets cook, they will expand, so leave about an inch between them.
- Simmer for five minutes.
- Enjoy with marinara dip on the side
