Impress your friends and family with this easy and quick dessert—a 3-ingredient Oreo cake! There are just three ingredients in it: milk, baking powder, and Oreo cookies. Curious? We’ll walk you through making it. (You may also use a microwave or air fryer!)
COMPOSITION
- 14-oz package of Oreo cookies
- half a cup of milk
- A half-tsp of baking powder
FOR THE GANACHE FROSTING OPTION
- 4-ounce bar of semi-sweet chocolate
- Half a cup of heavy cream
DIRECTIONS
Set the air fryer to 320 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and save a 6-inch cake pan.
- Mix the milk, baking powder, and Oreo cookie crumbs in a medium-sized basin. Mix well until well blended. There will be little batter.
- Fill the cake pan with oiled batter.
- Cook the pan in the air fryer for fifteen minutes. When a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, turn the pan over and continue cooking for a further 10 to 15 minutes.
- Take out of the air fryer and let cool fully.
- Chop the chocolate bar finely to make the chocolate ganache.
- The heavy cream should be hot and steaming after one to two minutes of high heat in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave. Take out of the microwave and stir in the chocolate chips. Let the chocolate melt for a minimum of two to three minutes before stirring.
- Mix until smooth and fully blended. Let cool for five to ten minutes, or until the chocolate begins to slightly thicken.
- Evenly spoon chocolate ganache over the cake until it is completely covered.
