Ingredients:
For the Chicken Marinade:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 200g boneless chicken
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp dry coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- 1 tsp tandoori masala (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup yogurt
For the Sauce:
- 2-3 tbsp mayonnaise
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- Fresh coriander, chopped
For Assembling:
- Tortillas
- Red cabbage
- Onion slices
- Tomato, julienned
- Lettuce
- Butter (for cooking)
Instructions:
- One tablespoon oil, chopped garlic, boneless chicken pieces, half a teaspoon salt, one teaspoon red chilli powder, one teaspoon dry coriander powder, one teaspoon cumin powder, half a teaspoon turmeric powder, one teaspoon red chilli flakes, one teaspoon tandoori masala (if used), and one tablespoon lemon juice should all be combined in a bowl.
- To the chicken mixture, add one cup of yoghurt. Mix thoroughly, then let it marinade for half an hour or more.
- To make the sauce, combine 2-3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, and finely chopped fresh coriander in a separate bowl. Season to taste. Put aside.
- Cook the marinated chicken in a skillet with a little oil over medium heat until it’s cooked through and tender. Put aside.
- Warm the coverings before assembling them.
- Spread a thick layer of the prepared sauce on a tortilla, then top with cooked chicken chunks, red cabbage, onion slices, julienned tomato, and lettuce.
To construct a wrap, fold the tortilla in half and roll it securely. - Put the wrap seam-side down in a pan with some heated butter. Stir and cook until golden brown.
