Components
Cinnamon Roll Braid:
- 1 pound of pizza dough from the supermarket
- Four tablespoons of softened unsalted butter
- One tsp maple extract
- One-third cup brown sugar
- two tsp finely ground cinnamon
Frosting/Glaze:
- Two ounces of room temperature cream cheese
- Four tablespoons of softened unsalted butter
- One-tspn pure vanilla extract
- Three teaspoons of heavy cream
- Two UPs confectioners’ sugar
Guidelines
- Dust a wooden cutting board with flour.
- Roll out the pizza crust to a thickness of 1/4 inch.
- Combine softened butter, brown sugar, cane sugar, cinnamon, and maple extract in a small bowl.
- Apply the buttery cinnamon sugar mixture to the dough.
- Make sure the seam is on the bottom of the log by tightly rolling the dough.
- Using a pair of kitchen shears, make incisions every 1″ down the dough’s length.
- For five minutes, preheat the air fryer to 375°.
- Gently draw each portion of dough to rest on the left and right sides of the log in turn. Next, shape the log into a circle and seal the ends by tucking them inside one another.
- Arrange the cinnamon roll. Cook for 8 minutes in the air fryer.
- Make the frosting while the dough is heating. In a medium-sized mixing basin, combine all the ingredients and thoroughly mix with a hand mixer or whisk.
