Butter Steak Bites with Mushrooms
Ingredients:
- A pound of beef tenderloin
- 2 ½ tablespoons of oil
- ½ tablespoon Tony Chachere Creole Seasoning
- ¾ teaspoon paprika
- ¾ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups of baby bella mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 ½ tablespoons butter
Steps to Unleash the Flavor:
- Combine creole seasoning, paprika, onion powder, and black pepper in a bowl to create your seasoning mix.
- Slice your beef tenderloin into 1½-inch by 1-inch pieces.
- Toss your steak bites, sliced mushrooms, oil, and the seasoning mix into a bowl.
- Mix well until the steak and mushrooms are thoroughly coated. Let it marinate for 30 minutes to 1½ hours.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes. Cook your marinated mixture in the air fryer at 400°F for 6-10 minutes, in 2 separate batches to ensure even cooking.
TIP:
- Arrange the beef in a single layer with a small space in between so they don’t steam. Mushrooms can be cooked separately at 400°F for 6 minutes.
NOTE:
- 6 minutes will give you a rarer steak. 10 minutes will result in a medium-well steak.
- Toss the cooked mushrooms and steak pieces in a bowl with butter. Sprinkle with additional creole seasoning or salt if you wish.
- Serve with your choice of rice, roasted broccoli, noodles, brussels sprouts, couscous, roasted carrots, or a green salad. Enjoy!
