Crispy Golden Air Fryer Latkes

Making hand-held potato pancakes from shredded potatoes is simple with air fryer latkes. A favourite crispy-crunch side dish for Hannukah. These are so delicious, you’ll want to eat them for every meal of the year.

Components:

  1. Shredded one medium russet potato
  2. Shredded four large Yukon potatoes
  3. one chopped onion
  4. three eggs
  5. 1/4 cup Matzo meal or all-purpose flour
  6. One tsp each of salt and garlic powder
  7. 1/4 tsp pepper
  8. olive oil spray

Guidelines

  1. Potatoes with the peel on should be grated or processed in a food processor. Transfer to several paper towels and fold. To absorb as much water as possible, softly press. Next, transfer to a bowl.
  2. For five minutes, preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. Add all of the other ingredients to the bowl with the shredded potatoes and toss to coat.
  3. To create one potato pancake, use three generous tablespoons. Gently squeeze together in your palms. Coat the air fryer basket with olive oil spray before placing the patties inside, making sure they don’t overlap. Gently mist the tops with olive oil spray.
  4. Shut basket and cook for approximately 15 minutes, turning each piece over halfway through (spray tops one more after flipping).
  5. Once they reach your desired level of browning, remove and serve with sour cream.

Common Questions:

Are Trader Joe’s latkes air fryable?
Without a doubt! This method cooks these frozen latkes extremely nicely; in my opinion, it’s superior than other methods. Your machine should always be preheated to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for five minutes.

  • Apply nonstick spray to the basket.
  • Arrange them inside so they don’t overlap.
  • Shut drawer and cook for approximately 9 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, or until thoroughly browned.
  • In either case, you can save any leftovers for the following day, though fresh food is always preferable. Place them first on a paper towel and then into a freezer bag to prevent them from becoming wet and strange. Just like with chicken wings, lay flat in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave or Cosori to crisp up again.
