Ingredients:

  1. 4 large Russet Potatoes
  2. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  3. 1 tablespoon kosher salt

Instructions:

  1. Wash, scrub and clean potatoes then pat try with paper towel. Place potatoes onto parchment paper on top of a counter top. Brush each potato with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle evenly with kosher salt. Arrange potatoes inside basket of air fryer, close securely and heat to 400 degrees F. setting timer for 30 minutes.
  2. At 30 minutes, carefully open air fryer and use a fork to pierce centers of each potato. Fork should easily pierce through centers of potatoes. For large potatoes, they might need 5-10 minutes more cooking. Smaller potatoes may not. Use the fork method to test for doneness.
  3. Use long tongs or fork to remove potatoes from air fryer and transfer to serving plate. Cover with tin foil to keep hot until ready to serve. Cut each potato in half to prepare for toppings of your choice.

Notes

  • Sizing. When looking for potatoes for the air fryer, make sure you get them as close to the same size as possible. This way they cook the same amount of time.
  • Wash. Make sure before starting anything, you wash and scrub any areas of the potatoes that need cleaning. Pat dry.
  • Crisp Crust. For that crispy salty crust, don’t skip brushing the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkling with a touch of salt.
  • Cooking Potatoes. After 30 minutes of cook time, carefully pierce a fork through the centers of each potato to test doneness. When fork pierces easily through the potato, you know it’s ready. Keep in mind, large potatoes may take a little longer, small potatoes, a little less cook time.
