Air fryer cheese scones

The outside of these golden and crispy air fryer cheese scones is golden and crispy, while the inside is light and fluffy. Enjoy these warm, flaky breakfast biscuits with butter and jam for a delectable morning or afternoon snack. Prep time is less than ten minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  1. One cup of flour for all purposes
  2. two tsp baking powder
  3. Two cups of cheddar cheese, shredded
  4. Half a cup of milk
  5. Add a ¼ teaspoon of salt or adjust the seasoning to taste with a ½ teaspoon. I used ranch seasoning combination and garlic powder Italian seasoning.
  6. An optional 2 teaspoons of minced chives

DIRECTIONS

  •  Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 375 degrees Celsius if using an air fryer.
  • Next, combine 1 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp choice-choice spice, and garlic powder in a big basin. I used a blend of ranch seasoning and Italian seasoning.
  • Add ½ cup of milk and stir in 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese. Gradually stir in little amounts of milk to prevent the mixture from becoming too thin. Combine all ingredients and stir until a soft dough is formed. Take care not to overwork the dough as this will result in rough scones.
  •  Next, knead the dough for ten to fifteen seconds on a surface that has been lightly floured. Then cut the dough into round shapes using a biscuit cutter or a glass. Alternately, use your hands to mold the mixture into a desired circular patty that is ½ inch thick.
  • Air fry: Make sure the rounds are not in contact with one another by placing them immediately on the air fryer basket (or tray). Apply oil spray to each scone. Fry them in the air for 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  • The cheese inside the scones stays melted and gooey while the outside gets crispy thanks to the air fryer.
  • Cook in the oven: The rounds should be baked for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown, on an oiled baking sheet.
  • Warm up and serve with
