Cloud-Soft Condensed Milk Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  1.  One huge egg
  2.  Three tablespoons (60g) Condensed Milk Sweetened
  3.  1 teaspoon (3g) dry yeast that is active
  4.  140ml/0.6 cup lukewarm milk
  5. Two cups (300g) of wheat or bread flour
  6. Half a teaspoon (3g) of salt
  7.  2 tablespoons (28g) melted unsalted butter plus more for topping and greasing
  8.  1 Egg Wash: 1 beaten egg

DIRECTIONS:

1. Get the Yeast Active:

  • Combine the active dry yeast and the lukewarm milk in a small basin. When the mixture becomes foamy, which means the yeast is active and ready to use, let it sit for five to ten minutes.

2. Combine the Dough:

  • Lightly beat the egg in a large bowl. Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir until thoroughly blended.

3. Mix the Dry and Wet Ingredients Together:

  • Mix in the foamy yeast mixture after adding it to the bowl.
  • Add the salt and bread flour gradually and stir until a sticky dough forms.

4. Work up the Dough:

Work the dough until it is smooth and elastic, adding the softened unsalted butter and kneading until it is well integrated.

5. The First Thing to Rise:

  • After putting the dough in a bowl that has been oiled, cover it with a fresh kitchen towel. Let it rise for around one hour, or until it doubles in size, in a warm, draft-free location.

6. Form and Second Ascent:

  • Punch down the dough carefully to release any air bubbles once it has doubled in size.
  • After transferring the dough to a surface dusted with flour, shape it to fit the 20x20cm mold that has been oiled.
  • Recover the towel from the mold and let the dough to rise for 30 to 40 more minutes, or until it swells well.

7. Heat up and get ready to bake:

  • Set the oven temperature to 170°C (340°F).
  • For a golden finish, lightly brush the rising dough’s top with the beaten egg wash.

8. Bake:

  • When the bread is hollow when tapped and has a golden brown top, place the mold in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes.

Air fryer method!

  • Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Bake the bread: Once the air fryer is preheated, place the dough balls back into the basket and bake them at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.

9. Chill and Present:

  • After taking the bread out of the oven, give the top a quick brushing of unsalted butter to create a smooth, soft crust.
  • After a few minutes, let the bread cool in the mold before moving it to a wire rack to finish cooling.

10️⁣. Have fun:

  • Enjoy the bread’s tender, fluffy texture and the the condensed milk’s delicate sweetness. It tastes great either plain or smeared with jam or butter.
